How we value a Licence IV
A Licence IV has no official price: its price is freely agreed between seller and buyer. To value it, your expert cross-checks several sources:
- demand from entrepreneurs looking for a licence in your area, which we follow every day;
- the sales handled by the firm in your département;
- the towns to which your licence can be transferred, in your département and neighbouring départements;
- the situation of your licence: date it was last operated, holder, history.
The information that refines the valuation
The form only asks for the essentials: the category, the town and your contact details. During the call, these details help your expert refine the price:
- the date the licence was last operated;
- whether it is attached to a business (fonds de commerce), and whether that business is also for sale;
- the holder: you personally, or a company;
- your timetable: sell quickly, or wait for the best price.
Why we don't publish a price list
A national average tells you nothing about your licence: two Licence IVs can be worth very different prices depending on the town, local demand and their situation. An online simulator would give you a reassuring figure, but a wrong one.
We prefer to give you a price set for your town by an expert who knows the market. That price is also the basis of our buyback offer.
After the valuation
You know the price of your licence and our buyback offer. You can:
- accept the buyback offer and be paid within 48 hours of signing;
- put your licence up for sale with our buyers, at the best price;
- or simply keep the information: the valuation does not commit you to anything.
